How a LeanFPS license key works
Each license key unlocks LeanFPS Pro on up to three Windows PCs. When you activate, LeanFPS sends the key, your purchase email, the PC's name and an ID for this PC (Windows' machine ID, which our server stores only as a hash) to our license server. It gets back a license file signed with our private key.
LeanFPS checks that signature on every start, on your PC, without the internet. When you are online it renews the file every 7 days. If a PC stays offline for more than 30 days, Pro pauses until it goes online once; the free tweaks and Restore all keep working the whole time.

License key FAQ
Where is my LeanFPS license key?
In the email we sent right after you paid, from no-reply@leanfps.com, and on the page where you paid. If you cannot find it, enter your purchase email above and we send every key it owns again.
How do I activate LeanFPS Pro?
Open LeanFPS, click Enter key at the bottom (or Settings, then License), paste the key and type the email you bought with. Activation needs the internet once.
How do I move Pro to a new PC?
On the old PC, open Settings, then License, then Remove Pro from this PC. If the old PC is gone, ask for a manage link above and remove it there. Then activate the new PC with the same key.
The app says all seats are used. What do I do?
LeanFPS lists the PCs on your key right in the activation window. Remove one there, or on this page, and activate again.
Can I change the email on my license?
Yes. Email contact@leanfps.com from the address you bought with and tell us the new one. The new address has to confirm with a link before the license moves.
What happens if I ask for a refund?
Within 14 days of purchase you get the full amount back. The key stops working the next time LeanFPS renews its license file, and Pro tweaks are undone; the free version keeps working.
