Before you look for a Radiant Optimizer alternative: what Free already does

You may not need to pay anyone. Radiant Optimizer Free costs $0, needs no account to start and, according to its plans page, includes a hardware dashboard and PC scan, eight starter Windows tweaks, speed and loaded-latency tests, six input and display tools, and System Restore tools. Premium adds the game profiles, more tweaks, CPU and NVIDIA controls and a performance overlay for a one-time $57.77 on one PC.

So the real question is what you wanted from Premium. If it was more FPS, Radiant’s own FAQ says it “can’t control game servers or guarantee FPS, ping or hit registration”, and the 120 to 157 FPS comparison on its home page is labelled “Illustrative demo. FPS values and stutters are simulated, not measured Radiant results.” Any Radiant Optimizer alternative should be judged the same way: by what it measures on your PC, not by a demo.

Radiant Optimizer alternative for Windows 11 and Windows 10

Every Radiant Optimizer alternative here runs on current Windows. This is what each maker states on the page we read:

ToolWindows versions the maker states
Radiant OptimizerWindows 10 & 11
LeanFPSWindows 10 and 11
Windows Game ModePart of Windows
Chris Titus WinUtilNot stated on the page we read
Razer CortexWindows 11, Windows 10 (64-bit)
Tier1SuiteWindows 10 and 11, 64-bit
Process LassoWindows 7 to 11
HoneWindows 10 and 11

On Windows 11, check one setting before installing anything: whether Memory Integrity is on, under Windows Security, Device security, Core isolation. Some tweak tools offer to switch it off for a few frames. LeanFPS never touches it, and neither should a Radiant Optimizer alternative you trust with your PC. On Windows 10, Game Mode and the High performance power plan are the two free settings worth checking first.

Reading Reddit threads about a Radiant Optimizer alternative

A lot of people search Reddit before they buy, and forum advice can be useful. We have not summarised any threads here, because we cannot check them. Instead, three questions make any recommendation easier to judge:

  • Did they measure? “Felt smoother” is not a result. Look for average FPS and 1% lows in the same game, before and after.
  • Which version, and when? Radiant Optimizer went from a 121 MB v3.3.8 installer to a 194 MB v7.0.4 one. Advice about one version may not hold for another.
  • What did it switch off? If the gain came from turning off Defender, Memory Integrity, Windows Update or the firewall, it was paid for with security.

Why LeanFPS is our Radiant Optimizer alternative

We make LeanFPS, so read this part with that in mind. It is about 6.5 MB instead of 194 MB, it measures average FPS, 1% and 0.1% lows in every session from Windows event tracing, it saves the real previous value before each change so you can undo one tweak at a time, and it makes no network requests. It never changes security settings. When we unpacked the older Radiant Optimizer v3.3.8 installer on 2026-10-09 we found PowerShell that switches off Memory Integrity and Credential Guard and resets firewall rules; we did not run it and have not re-checked v7.0.4.

One thing counts against LeanFPS today: the download is early access by email until the first signed public release, so you buy Pro before you can grab a public installer. See the full LeanFPS vs Radiant Optimizer table, all eight tools in the game optimizer comparison, or how LeanFPS measures FPS.

Switching from Radiant Optimizer to another tool

  1. In Radiant Optimizer, undo the optimizations you applied, or restore the restore point it created.
  2. Uninstall it, so two tools do not fight over the same power plan and priorities.
  3. Install the Radiant Optimizer alternative you picked and measure a few sessions before changing anything else.

Radiant Optimizer alternative FAQ

What is the best free Radiant Optimizer alternative?

Start with Windows Game Mode, which is built in and on by default. If you want more, Chris Titus WinUtil is free and open source, and Razer Cortex is free if you do not mind its launcher. LeanFPS has a free version with game detection, FPS measurement and five core tweaks, with no account and no time limit; its Pro tweaks are a one-time $19.

Is there a Radiant Optimizer alternative without a subscription?

Yes. Radiant Optimizer itself is a one-time $57.77. Tier1Suite Pro is $29.99 once, Process Lasso Pro is $39.95 for a lifetime licence, and LeanFPS Pro is planned at $19 once. Hone is the one on this list that is sold as a subscription.

Does Radiant Optimizer increase FPS?

Radiant Optimizer’s own FAQ says results depend on your hardware, game and starting settings, that some PCs may see little change, and that it cannot guarantee FPS, ping or hit registration. Its home page before-and-after FPS demo is labelled as simulated. The same is true of every tool here: the only reliable answer is to measure FPS and 1% lows before and after on your own PC.

Which Radiant Optimizer alternative works on Windows 10?

Radiant Optimizer, LeanFPS, Hone, Tier1Suite and Razer Cortex all say they support Windows 10 and Windows 11; Tier1Suite and Razer Cortex need 64-bit Windows. Process Lasso says Windows 7 to 11. The WinUtil page we read does not state a version.

Can I get a refund from Radiant Optimizer?

Radiant Optimizer’s terms say all sales are final, and its refund policy lists exceptions such as double charges and problems they cannot fix. If a refund window matters to you, LeanFPS (14 days), Tier1Suite (14 days) and Process Lasso (30 days) state one.

Where did these Radiant Optimizer alternative facts come from?

From each maker’s own website, pricing, refund and privacy pages, read on 2026-10-10, and the size of each official download. If something has changed, email contact@leanfps.com and we will correct it.
